Purpose
We are a Christian organization that connects and supports Christian leaders in Nebraska, building bridges across the body of Christ throughout our state.
Goal
To equip members with the skills and knowledge to lead with strength and integrity — empowering servant leaders who advance God's kingdom across Nebraska.
Concept
The NECLF concept is simple: to see the Church that Jesus is building grow and connect — in unity with Him, the Father, and one another across Nebraska.
One Body, One Bride
In John 17, Jesus prayed that we would be one — in unity with Him and the Father, and in unity with each other. Scripture describes this using the picture of a physical body (Romans 12:3–4; 1 Corinthians 12:12–31; Ephesians 4:1–5).
In western church culture we often interpret John 17 within the context of our local congregation. While this application is not incorrect, it may be too limited. In the early church, the expression of His body included all believers in the city.
Jesus will one day return for His one precious bride — which means there should be, and will be, a connecting together of all disciples of Christ. At NECLF, we believe we can better serve and accomplish the tasks God has given us if we work in connection and unity with Him and with one another.
Jesus' instruction to the believer is: love God, love your neighbor, and make disciples. It's a simple concept with an almost unlimited number of practical ways to live — and we can do it better together.
